POLE SHUFFLE REGULATIONS
After Qualifying their will be a “Pole Shuffle” for classes with ten or more entries.
The Top 5 Qualifiers for those classes will go into a pole shuffle.
This format consists of multiple two (2) kart races (“Shootout”) run over 2-laps with the top 5 Qualifiers eligible to compete.
The race procedure commences by the fifth and fourth fastest qualifiers entering the track for a formation lap.
The fourth placed qualifier will occupy pole position with fifth place occupying position 2.
At the completion of the formation lap, the Starter will extinguish the red light to indicate a start.
After the drivers pass the pit apron on their penultimate lap, the grid marshall will release the third fastest qualifier for their warm-up lap.
The winner between fourth and fifth place qualifiers will then go on to race the third fastest qualifier in the next Shootout.
As the second placed finisher in the opening Shootout returns to the In Grid, the winner of the opening Shootout will commence a formation lap alongside the third
fastest qualifier, who will start on pole position for the next Shootout.
This process will be followed through to first placed qualifier has competed in a Shootout.
The order of the results from the Top 5 Pole Shuffle will determine the starting position for Heat 1 & 2. i.e. should 5th place qualifier beat the 4th Place Qualifier in the
race, however loose against the 3rd Place Qualifier the starting position for that competitor in heats 1 and 2 will be 4th and so on…
Should a Driver be unable to take their position in a Shootout, they will be deemed to have finished second in that particular Shootout.
