2023 AKC SHAKEDOWN – NEWCASTLE 13th &14th MAY

Newcastle Kart Racing Club will be conducting a Shakedown for Round 3 of the
AKC on Saturday/Sunday 13th & 14th May,2023.

Pre-Enties are OPEN and only in the new KOMP System.
Make sure you have activated your ID as well as your Guardian’s if Under 18 Years.
Entry Fee for the meeting is $220.00 per class.
Entries Close Midnight Monday 8th May.

Unofficial Practice – 9.00am to 4.30pm – included in Entry Fee.
Special Note – Interstate AKC Competitors will not be able to practice Friday
as per Championship Rules.

Saturday 13th May.
Gates Open at 6.30am.
Canteen Open – 7.00am
Drivers Briefing – 7.45am.
2 x Practice Sessions – 8.00am.
Qualifying – after Practice Sessions

Sunday 14th May.
Gates Open at 6.30am.
Canteen Open – 7.00am
Racing Resumes – 8.00am

Direction – Anti-Clockwise on the Long TRACK
1 x Practices Sessions of 6 minutes duration
1 x Qualifying Session – 6 Minutes duration
Cadet 9, Cadet 12, KA3 Junior
Heats 1, 2, 3 & 4 – 10 Laps – Final 16 Laps
KA2, KA3 Senior, TaG 125 & X30
Heats 1, 2, 3 & 4 – 12 Laps – Final 20 Laps
KZ2
Heats 1, 2, 3 & 4 – 12 Laps – Final 25 Laps
Grids: Cadet 9, KA2, KA3 Senior, X30 &KZ2
Practice Session – Random Grid
Qualifying Grid – From Practice Session – Fastest to the front.
Heats 1 & 2 – Grids from Qualifying – Fastest to the front.
Heat 3 – Grid from Heats 1 & 2 points – Lowest to the front.
Heat 4 – Grid from Heats 1, 2 & 3 points – Lowest to the front.
Final – Grid from Heat 1, 2,3 & 4 points – Lowest to the front.

Trophies:
Winner will be the driver who finishes first in the Final. (Final Only Counts)
1st to 3rd – All Classes.

A reminder that Drivers will now submit their Scrutineering Form during Entry
