AN INVITATION TO THE 2019 NSW KART CHAMPIONSHIP

My name is David Laughton and I am the President of Karting Australia (NSW).
I would like to invite you on behalf of myself & the president of North Shore Kart Club (Sam Mrad) to the 2019 NSW Kart Championship.
Entries have now opened and close on the Friday 28th June at midnight.
Entries close when the class reaches grid capacity so do not miss out “Get in Early”.
This event is to be held at the Eastern Creek International Raceway from 5th to the 7th July, this weekend is the first weekend of the NSW School Holidays.
It is a single one-off event where all Karting Australia License holders in the country can win a blue plate and become the 2019 NSW Kart Champion.
The blue plate can be worn on your kart at any Karting Australia race meeting in that class.
The entry fee of $195 includes a minimum of five practice sessions on Friday with the last two being timed. The last two sessions will be used for grid allocation for qualifying on Saturday but if you can’t turn up in time to practice on Friday there is no problem, you will only start at the rear of the grid for qualifying. Please note that there is no warm up on Saturday.
Please make sure you have your transponder on for all Friday practice sessions.
At the end of practice on Friday the club is putting on a free sausage sizzle and some music for everyone to wind down, relax and have a chat. Everyone is invited.
On Saturday morning we will commence with an 8-minute qualifying session and then start the first of the three heats. Sunday will kick off with the fourth heat and the all-important final that will determine the winners of the blue plates and podium positions with trophies to third place.
The organizers have also decided not to have drop down nose cones so the regular club Karter can enter the 2019 NSW Kart Championship without further cost.
That doesn’t mean it’s a free for all though as there will be enough officials stationed around the track to keep an eye on contact during racing.
Remember, a fair race is also an enjoyable race for all concerned.
All classes will be using the “Prime” Dry Tyre Option.
