HUGE WEEKEND AT NSKC FOR BRIAN FARLEY MEMORIAL
23 Feb 2019
North Shore Kart Club kicks off its season with the prestigious Brian Farley Memorial at Eastern Creek this weekend.
NSKC Club President Sam Mrad said the Brian Farley Memorial event was shaping up to be one of the best held to date, with $3,500 in prize money for the feature class and strong entries.
“The racing at Eastern Creek is always good but the atmosphere surrounding the weekend and the Brian Farley Memorial just feels special,” Mrad said.
“We’ve got really strong entries, around 150, and the racing across the board will be first class. Most importantly, in addition to competitive racing, everyone’s looking forward to a weekend of fun – that’s what karting’s all about.”
NSKC had a huge turnout today with drivers from all over Australia testing not only for the weekend’s race but also the upcoming second round of Sparco Rotax Pro Tour at Eastern Creek on 8-10 March.
“Entries for the Rotax Pro Tour are also building up really well and we’re looking forward to an exciting weekend back here in a couple of weeks.”
The Sapphire Coast Kart Club at Bega and the Grafton Sporting Car Club at Grafton also starts their seasons this weekend with their first Club race of the year taking place on Sunday.
Both Sapphire Coast and Grafton events are also the first chance for each Club’s drivers to earn points in the exciting SP Tools Club Driver Rankings.
